The lodge sources the majority of its products and services from the local community.

The lodge has six en-suite rooms, four of which have private verandahs. All rooms are part of the main lodge, adding to the intimate sense of family. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioners and ceiling fans, together with other amenities. Bush House Madikwe is fully accessible, with all facilities – including the game viewing vehicles – catering to people with disabilities.

A private nature trail (set safely within the electrified boundaries of the camp) provides a rare opportunity to explore Madikwe on foot or bicycle. It’s large enough to do some proper exploring, giving guests a true experience of the African bush. The large, shaded garden overlooks a floodlit waterhole, which can also be observed through Bush House Madikwe’s underground hide. The hide (open 24 hours a day) brings guests within arm’s length of the animals, and its reinforced roof is strong enough to carry the weight of any elephant that may stroll across it.
