The thatched lodge includes a roomy lounge and cosy dining room, a bar and a rim-flow pool that looks out onto the watering hole. These general areas are linked by a wooden deck that leads down to the communal boma area and viewing deck. The boma is set under a magnificent, ancient Fig Tree, which gives Tuningi its name.
An underground hide provides low-angle views of the waterhole, giving wildlife spotters and photographers alike a unique perspective of the giraffe, zebra, buffalo, kudu, impala and other animals as they drink. Other activities include – of course – morning and afternoon safari game drives with qualified field guides.
