The lodge sources the majority of its products and services from the local community.

The lodge has six en-suite rooms, four of which have private verandahs. All rooms are part of the main lodge, adding to the intimate sense of family. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioners and ceiling fans, together with other amenities. Last Word Madikwe is fully accessible, with all facilities – including the game viewing vehicles – catering to people with disabilities.

A private nature trail (set safely within the electrified boundaries of the camp) provides a rare opportunity to explore Madikwe on foot or bicycle. It’s large enough to do some proper exploring, giving guests a true experience of the African bush. The large, shaded garden overlooks a floodlit waterhole, which can also be observed through Last Word Madikwe’s underground hide. The hide (open 24 hours a day) brings guests within arm’s length of the animals, and its reinforced roof is strong enough to carry the weight of any elephant that may stroll across it.

Last Word Madikwe accommodates children of all ages.
