Etali Safari Lodge appears, as if by magic, from the bush – its minimalist, natural design creating the impression that you’re truly at one with the natural surroundings.
That feeling extends throughout the lodge and into the game drives, which are led by experienced field guides and trackers, who sit on a seat mounted on the hood of the vehicle to help spot animals and their spoor (tracks).
To ensure privacy and individual attention, Etali offers only eight spacious luxury suites and one family suite. The suites are tucked into the granite rock and Tamboti trees, immersing you in the quiet refuge of the bush. Each suite also has a large deck and outdoor shower, and is located in front of game paths where elephants and other animals often cross.
The lodge boasts a kosher kitchen and a spa and wellness centre, which offers a blissful, two-hour signature Thlakanya treatment. Guests who are mobility impaired have full access to the lodge via wheelchair-friendly ramps, and enjoy a special seat at the front of the game drive vehicle.
