Buffalo Ridge Safari Lodge is the only one of its kind to be wholly owned by a local rural community: the Balete, members of the great Batswana tribe, who live just west of Madikwe in the quiet village of Lekgophung.

There are eight spacious suites, each with its own viewing deck for a private and luxurious bushveld experience. The lodge’s ‘treehouse’ design has it perched on four tiers, going from reception to lounge and dining areas and the swimming pool.
The lodge makes the most of its spectacular location, offering activities that range from stargazing and bush dining to birding and open vehicle game drives, where guests are accompanied by highly trained field guides from the Balete clan.
