Terms and conditions – standard

All tariffs quoted are subject to change, without prior notice. However, rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured.

Rates applicable to tree houses at Jaci’s Tree Lodge and tented rooms at Jaci’s Safari Lodge are quoted per person sharing per night.

Singles are subject to a 50% supplement for the third room occupied by one adult; the first two single rooms within the same booking are not subject to the single supplement.

Tariffs include

• Luxury accommodation
• Two game drives per day
• Optional walking safaris
• Three meals daily
• Tea and coffee.

Tariffs exclude

• Curio shop purchases
• Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Telephone calls
• Lodge transfers
• Spa treatments
• Madikwe Game Reserve gate fees (to be advised). Will reflect on pro-forma invoice
• Madikwe airstrip tax (to be advised). Will reflect on pro-forma invoice
• Lunch on the day of arrival. Can be arranged at R120 per person. Served 12h30 to 13h30.

Accommodation

Jaci’s Safari Lodge

• All eight lodge tents can sleep a maximum of two adults sharing with a maximum of three children on stretcher beds
• Two king bedded tents
• Six twin bedded tents
• Includes open-plan kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining facilities, pool with deck, gift boutique.

Nare suite

• Two rooms on ground level accommodating a maximum of two persons each (1 king and 1 twin), with en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower
• One twin-bedded loft room accommodating a maximum of two persons
• Includes private plunge pool, bar facilities stocked with selected spirits, local wines, beers and soft drinks, private game-viewing vehicle and guide.

Safari suite

• One king bedded room accommodating a maximum of two persons each
• Guest bathroom with bath and outdoor shower
• One twin bedded loft room accommodating a maximum of two persons
• One king bedded room accommodating a maximum of two persons, with open-plan bathroom and separate toilet
• One room with two single beds, en-suite toilet and basin
• Includes private plunge pool, bar facilities stocked with selected spirits, local wines, beers and soft drinks, private game-viewing vehicle and guide.

Jaci’s Tree Lodge

• All eight tree houses can sleep a maximum of two adults
• Six king-bedded tree houses
• Two king-bedded tree houses
• Includes open-plan kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining facilities, pool with deck, gift boutique.

Children

• This policy applies to all persons from 0 up to and including 12 years old, sharing a room with their parents.
• Jaci’s Safari Lodge can accommodate up to three children sharing with two adults per room, depending on their ages and availability of rooms
• Children are welcome at Jaci’s Tree Lodge, but would need to occupy their own tree house at the applicable adult rate
• The child rates are applicable to children sharing a room with adults
• Children occupying their own room with be charged the applicable adult rate
• Persons from 13 years and older are considered adults and will therefore require their own tent/room/tree house at the applicable adult rate
• 0 – 4 year olds sharing a tent/room with parents:
• Are taken on a separate “jungle drive” of 30 to 60 minutes during the day, which parents are welcome to join
• Will enjoy dinner at 18h00 in the dining room
• Are not permitted in the boma
• Children sharing a tent/room with parents are accommodated in a cot or camp/stretcher bed, depending on their age
• Each camp/stretcher bed and cot can accommodate a maximum of one child per bed
• A child menu is available and can be discussed with the chef upon arrival.

Insurance

• We highly recommend that travel and medical insurance is taken out
• Please be advised that there are no medical facilities available within a two-hour drive.

Transfers

• Transfers can be arranged with reservations on request at additional cost
• All transfers are handled by accredited car-hire and charter companies
• Transfers to and from the private landing strip on the eastern runway are complimentary, but must be booked prior to arrival.

Gate times

All gates into the Madikwe Game Reserve close at 20h00.

Payment

Direct clients

• 50% deposit required to confirm the reservation
• Balance is required 30 days prior to arrival
• Full pre-payment required at the time of booking for reservations made within 30 days of arrival.

Trade

• Written confirmation is required to confirm the reservation and will replace the requirement of a 50% deposit being paid
• Full payment to reflect in our bank account 30 days prior to arrival
• All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions being signed and returned to Mantis/Jaci’s Lodges
• Mantis/Jaci’s Lodges reserves the right to release bookings, should payment not be received in full by the requested date
• Any discrepancies on the confirmation/pro forma invoice must be addressed at the time of booking – in writing.
• All bank charges are for the account of the tour operator and will not be paid by Jaci’s Lodges.

Cancellations

• Only written cancellations will be accepted
• On cancellation of your booking, ensure that you receive an acknowledgement of cancellation from the reservations office
• 50% cancellation fee is applicable if booking is cancelled 29 – 45 days prior to arrival
• 100% cancellation fee is applicable if booking is cancelled 28 days or less prior to arrival.

• How will guests be arriving and departing?
• What time will guests arrive and depart?
• Do guests have any special occasion to celebrate?
• Do guests have any special dietary or other requirements?
• Conctact number where guests can be contacted prior to arrival.
