No holiday is complete without fabulous food and, at Jaci’s Lodges, our chefs are dedicated to preparing fresh, wholesome and tasty dishes.
Whether a relaxed African-style spread in a boma around a roaring fire or a more intimate affair served under the stars, meals prepared by our head chefs and their teams are sure to delight.
Menus feature fresh, seasonal South African produce and meats, meal schedules are flexible, typically tailored around your game drives.
In summer, we start the day early (between 5.00 am and 6.00 am) expect a tea/coffe in the main lodge before departure on your morning game drive and a full breakfast spread on your return. Lunch is offered for those in need of a mid-day meal. High tea is served during the course of the afternoon, followed by a sumptuous dinner later that night.
During the winter months (we start a little later to allow the sun to warm the day first) we serve tea/coffee and porridge before the morning game drive, followed by a large brunch in the mid-morning. High tea, at which you can sample a range of sweet and savoury snacks, is available in the afternoon, and dinner is served upon your return from an afternoon game drive.
