I simply cannot put it into words. These were the most magical 3 nights at Jaci’s - beyond all my expectations. I do not want to leave!!

Family and Children at Jaci’s
Jaci and Jan have raised their three children in Madikwe while establishing Jaci’s Lodges, as a result children have always been well catered for and accommodated. "We are very proud to call ourselves a family friendly lodge" says Jan.
Seeing the wonder in your child’s eyes as they see a lion for the first time, or how they enjoy learning why a kudu has such large ears, is a truly rewarding experience. Sharing moments like these is one of the great joys of parenting, that is why we arrange family game drives.
The game guides of Madikwe like to focus on the “Top Ten” rather than the Big Five. So, in addition to the well-known lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant and rhino, families have great chances of seeing hippo, giraffe, endangered wild dog, both brown and spotted hyena as well as cheetah.
Children aged four years & younger can be specially accommodated with their own “jungle drive”on request at additional cost. The "jungle drive" is educational, informative and deliberately shorter, to keep younger children engaged.
Other entertainment options are on offer, including a games room and swimming pools. Child minders can be arranged, at extra cost, for the younger children aged 4yrs and under during game drive times & to allow parents an "adult" evening meal - around the fire enjoying a glass of south african wine and good company.
Our chefs cater to your child’s likes and dislikes, menus typically include firm favourites like spaghetti bolognaise, hot dogs, or home made hamburgers. We like to serve our young guests the things they think are delicious, and we always make sure to include vegetables and salad (to keep mom happy!). An earlier evening meal is provided for all children 12 years and younger in the dining room when they retun from the evening game drive, as they are not allowed into the boma for the evening meals. Child minders can be arranged during this time, at additional cost if 4 years and younger.
Madikwe is described as a malaria-free game reserve so is the natural choice for parents wanting to introduce their children to the African bush, however, Jaci's Lodges recommends you obtain updated medical advise regarding travelling to Madikwe from a qualified medical practitioner before your holiday departure.
